    Kishan had great communication throughout the project. He sent me several pictures and updates. I really appreciated that he was willing and able to find long-term solutions while minimizing the overall cost to client. This was the first time I needed a large construction project, and I was nervous about what we’d find during the project due to the age of my house.     These legends didn’t just fix my fence—they did it while battling 90° heat, ungodly humidity, and a surprise thunderstorm that rolled in just to make things interesting. The owner? A master communicator, keeping me in the loop every step of the way. The crew? Respectful, kind, and probably part superhero, with a great sense of humor about the whole weather fiasco. They tackled this job on such short notice, and I couldn’t be more grateful. Thanks to their excellent work, my dog is once again tearing through the yard at mach 6 like a furry speed demon!     Kishan replaced water damaged soffit and gutters for a reasonable price. He even allowed my son to help with the process so he could learn some basic home repairs. See more See less

    Kishawn did a fence for me and a handicapped accessible back porch. I told him what I needed in less than fifty words and he knew exactly how to do it. He used better quality materials and added features that will make this fence last for awhile. He's charging the same amount per linear foot as everyone else out there. Used larger posts for the gates so they don't sag over time. Got me scheduled quickly since the fence I had was blown over by wind. My dogs have a new playpen and they are happy too.     A huge tree limb came through our bedroom ceiling. Once the insurance cleared, Deadtree was quick to get us fixed up right! Great craftsmanship and professional service. See more See less

    After the January ice storm we had a hole in our roof and damage to our deck and fence. Kishan and his team were fantastic to work with getting everything fixed. Kishan stayed in contact the whole time and his roofing crew stayed and worked into the dark to get the roof repaired before more rain came. I would definitely recommend them for any job you might have. See more See less

    This company did excellent work on my place. He was basically on time had all of his materials ,kept to himself and just did his job. Asked my opinion every step of the way. Very professional, very friendly and very very very fair priced. I would use him again and again and I would certainly recommend him for any work you have around the house.     Kishan had excellent and consistent communication with me throughout the process. I had called 4 contractors (including Dead Tree). Dead Tree was the only one to call back and confirm an appointment for a walk-through. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances on my end, the job had to be cancelled. I will DEFINITELY use them for future projects! Kishan went above and beyond to ensure I was taken care of and my needs/wants were met. See more See less

    Dead Tree Contracting completed outstanding work for me recently (Oct 2025) on a remodel of one of our rental properties. The property needed exterior and interior work including siding, electrical, and significant painting and ceiling work. They used a written contract through the Houzz app that made review of the agreement and payment in stages a simple process. The communication was very good throughout the project and all proposed change orders were communicated in advance and in writing. I highly recommend Dead Tree and will be using them again for my future remodels and repairs. See more See less

    Did a very nice quality job, very professional from start to finish, putting up a large fence in a very hilly plain. Showed up every day professionally. Worked hard and always left the worksite, neat and tidy. Will Definitely hire them for different projects again. See more See less

    Dead Tree did a bathroom and kitchen complete remodel, painted the entire house on the inside and replaced the front and sliding glass door. These guys are awesome! They did a wonderful job for a reasonable price. I have recommended them to my friends and will use them again when I'm ready for siding. They can do it all! See more See less

    Excellent! Good contractors are hard to find in Southern Illinois. Many do shoddy work, are not professional and simply don’t care about the results. Luckily for Southern Illinois, Kishan and crew are the opposite. They do great work, are professional and actually take pride in their work. We were on a very tight deadline and Kishan and crew finished on time and on budget. They even stayed very late one day to ensure everything was done on time. We did have to ask for updates occasionally on timing but that’s OK. Every time I called, they answered and let me know when they would be at the job site. I was also very impressed with their speed of work. No goofin’ around here….they were hard at work on the job site and worked quickly to complete the job.
